About the role

Our Regulatory Graduate Programme offers a unique opportunity to build a broad understanding of financial regulation while developing the skills and experience needed for a rewarding career at the FCA. It provides exposure to a wide range of teams and specialisms, helping you discover where your skills and interests can have the greatest impact. Over two years, you'll complete rotational placements across key areas of the FCA, which may include Authorisations, Policy, Supervision, Market Oversight, Enforcement, and Risk Management & Compliance. Through these varied experiences, you'll gain insight into the full regulatory lifecycle and the role regulation plays in protecting consumers, maintaining market integrity and supporting effective competition. You'll develop technical knowledge of financial services and regulatory frameworks while building core professional skills in judgement, engagement, self-management and delivery. Depending on your rotations, you could support vulnerable consumers, contribute to high-profile investigations, help shape regulatory policy, supervise firms, or provide insights that inform strategic decisions. Your first two rotations will be confirmed before you join the programme, providing a solid foundation in regulation and the work of the FCA. For your final rotation, we’ll consider your interests, strengths and career plans alongside business priorities, helping you explore a career pathway that aligns with both your interests and the FCA’s mission. By the time you complete the programme, you’ll have established a valuable professional network, developed a broad understanding of financial regulation, and gained the experience and confidence to start your career in the FCA’s Regulatory profession

What you'll do

  • We invest in your future from day one. Our two-year rotational programme combines meaningful work experience with a structured learning journey, giving you access to professional development programmes, specialist training and career-building opportunities.
  • As you develop your technical and professional skills, you’ll be encouraged to explore a range of career paths, expand your professional network, and build the confidence to contribute across the FCA.

You're a fit if you have

  • We’re looking for people who are curious, driven and motivated by the opportunity to learn. You’ll be motivated to develop new skills, build good relationships and use data and evidence to help solve complex challenges.
  • Our colleagues come from a wide range of backgrounds, and we believe diverse perspectives help us make better decisions. Whatever your degree discipline, you’ll be supported to learn and grow through practical experience, structured development and guidance from experienced colleagues, helping you build a rewarding career at the FCA.
